Nanda Environmental “Levels Up”! Powering Hangzhou Electric’s New Green Office Breakthrough

2026-01-27

As of May 2025, the on-site Food Waste treatment project deployed byHangzhou Nanda Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. at the headquarters campus of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. Hangzhou Power Supply Company has been in stable operation for over six months. With a daily processing capacity of 200 kilograms, the system efficiently handles all Organic Waste generated by the campus cafeteria, including fruit, vegetable, and kitchen waste, supporting Hangzhou Power’s goal of achieving a“zero-waste office” environment.

The project site stands quietly in a corner of the campus.

The project utilizes Nanda Environmental’s self-developed compact intelligent biodegradation equipment, which integrates advanced microbial hydrolysis technology. After 24 hours of treatment, food Waste Volume is reduced by more than90%, with the remaining material converted into organic fertilizer feedstock that is directly used for on-site landscape and plant maintenance. Compared with traditional off-site transportation and landfill disposal methods, the project significantly reduces annual waste transportation mileage, lowers carbon emissions, and simultaneously cuts Waste Disposal Costs.

“Power enterprises are not only practitioners of the energy transition, but also pioneers of green office operations,” said a representative from Hangzhou Power’s logistics management department. As an environmental demonstration project, this initiative helped the Hangzhou Power cafeteria earn the title of State Grid Green Canteen Benchmark in 2024.

According to Nanda Environmental’s technical team, the equipment supports remote intelligent monitoring and can be flexibly adapted to various scenarios such as government institutions, enterprises, and schools. It provides a lightweight, decentralized solution for urban distributed food waste treatment, contributing to more sustainable city waste management systems.
